1.  What types of windows do you replace?

Fisher Windows specializes in replacing all types of windows. We offer vinyl windows by Harvey Building Products, all fiberglass windows and wood interior/clad exterior windows by Andersen, Marvin and Pella. We install different types of windows including double-hung, casement, sliding, basement hopper, bay, bow, picture, and custom-shaped windows.

2.  Who makes the best window?

That is a good question with a few different answers. In our opinion, Harvey Classic Vinyl windows are the best value on the market. They offer exceptional quality for a vinyl window, reasonable prices, with lifetime warranties on parts and materials and we add lifetime labor and service… along with free accidental glass breakage for life. Our best wood interior option is Marvin Ultimate… however that is also the most expensive option. Andersen Woodwright is a very good window as well and is a bit more affordable. Pella Reserve Series is also an attractive option, but it is closer to the Marvin Price… and it has a few design options that make tilting and locking difficult. There are many other options in between and other manufacturers that we use for specialty projects.

3. How do I know if my windows need replacing?

Common signs include drafts, condensation between glass panes/seal failures, difficulty opening or closing, visible damage like cracks or warping, and increased energy bills. If you’re unsure, we offer free inspections/estimates to help you decide.

4. What brands of replacement windows do you offer?

Fisher Windows offers high quality replacement windows from top manufacturers like Andersen, Pella, Marvin and Harvey. We also offer specialty products from Simonton and a few other window companies. We combine competitively priced and reliable products with expert installation and top all that off with professional service and communication and the best warranty in the business.

5. How energy-efficient are your windows?

Most of our vinyl windows are ENERGY STAR® certified and designed to maximize energy efficiency. They feature advanced insulation, low-E glass coatings, and weatherproof seals to reduce energy costs and enhance comfort. Vinyl windows have a triple pane option. Most of the wood windows are double pane, many of which may not qualify the new Energy Star ratings.

Yes, we provide custom window replacement services to fit any size or shape. Whether your home has standard or uniquely shaped windows, we’ll ensure a perfect fit.

7. What’s the typical timeline for window replacement?

From the time you place your order, it typically takes 4-8 weeks for your windows to be manufactured. Installation generally takes one to two days for most projects, depending on the number of windows. These timelines can vary depending on the season. We are more available in the winter months, and as spring approaches we get busier.

8. Will window replacement damage my walls or interior?

Our professional installers take great care to protect your home during the process. Any minor adjustments are done with precision, and we leave your space clean and damage-free. There is typically some minor painting or touch up to do around the window frame.

9. What kind of warranty do you offer?

We offer lifetime warranty on labor and service on all windows and doors installed – by far the best in the industry. We also cover accidental glass breakage for FREE for the lifetime of our Harvey Vinyl windows.
